Trials Cub (T20T)

Originally built just for 1961 and shown in that year's sales brochure, not a lot is known about this model apart from it was intended as an off-road/enduro machine. It was available with optional QD lights, used the Trials type Vokes 'D'-shape air filter, wide-ratio gears, high level exhaust, Energy Transfer Ignition, crankcase undershield, side stand only and small triangular toolbox.

According to the excellent book 'Triumph Tiger Cub Bible' by Mike Estall, 40 machines were delivered to the UK military painted in Deep Bronze Green with modifications that later found their way onto the T20M WD French Army model.

It was still listed in Triumph's 1962 USA sales brochure as the T20/T Economy Model Trials and Woods Cub.

 

Colours were the same as the 1961 T20SL model with a two tone petrol tank in Ruby Red and Silver Sheen.
